With mini-Feltwell No.3 due to put an appearance in around 8 weeks time, please don't mention gelding to Mrs F.......
Re. Scunthorpe - yep, can't argue, but have you been to Grimsby???
(Cue outraged defenders of Grimsby)
On my business travels, I think it's a contest between Slough and Milton Keynes for my least favourite destination.
there already are listed airports and carparks, and almost 90% of the entire City of Westminster is "protected" in some form, whether by listing or being a conservation area)But Robert Goodman, director of the centre, said: “Listing it would be short-sighted, preserving nondescript and characterless 1970s architecture at the cost of a shopping centre that is currently 100 per cent let and performing well in what is a difficult retail climate.”
He said that the complex accounted for more than 10 per cent of the entire centre of Milton Keynes, the equivalent to placing a preservation order on the whole of Mayfair and Soho in the capital.
A spokesman for the centre’s tenants’ association also poured scorn on its architectural merits.
“It is not an example of outstanding architecture, it is a regional shopping centre which hosts over 240 businesses.
"If it is listed what will be next? Car parks, airports?”

The Humber bridge links Barton on the south bank and Hull on the north, making it the longest single span suspension bridge in the world between two places that no-one wants to visit.Nigel Watts said:The Humber bridge is nice. That's near Scunthorpe I think.

I once had to stay there for several weeks on business. The only interesting building I can remember was the circular Norman church.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you have.judrop said:I thought for a minute I had suddenly developed dislexia !!
