Aha, now you're touching on the purpose of my piles! When we get round to removing the concrete landing strip that is my drive and yard, I intend to hire a crusher and use the said piles (plus the removed concrete) to form the basis of a more fitting drive and yard. I wonder, does N.F. Stovold give any credence, or not, in the "My pile is higher than your pile, so nah nah na-nah nah" contest based on the final purpose of the piles?

There are some excavators which have an attachment to crush hardcore, dependant upon quantity may be slower but possibly cheaper than hauling a larger crusher to site.

I know!! That was the first house we had in NN,I did not show the real mess--- that kitchen was 20x18 and the whole floor was being prepared for the pine floor boards, Raffles managed to sit right bang central, insistant that it was his space. The Border Collie did likewise, so nobody could get on with the job!
My main memory of that day was thousands of pink footed geese flying over the house on their way to Holkham and Brancaster, the sound was amazing, and a sight that I shall never forget!

I have this horrible habit of flash reading things and missing out on the full spelling sometimes just taking letters from two consecutive words and reordering to achieve a word which looks similar...........

But in this instance its not even that, its purely association of a bunch of letters with a word they can form, I did not consider it but just read quickly and saw b*llocks from Blo NDE locks.
