Your perseverance puts me to shame Zebra, and the bathroom looks great. I confess I reached the point where the distraction of a new toy (in the shape of a motorhome) to tinker with, well new to me anyway, was rather welcome and work on Feltwell Towers slowed to a point of essentials only.

However, I'm now back on it again.

Consider yourself fortunate that "essential" works allowed you to slow down! Keeping up with the essentials on Schloss Penners seems to mean sprinting in order to stand still!

Well, it does rather depend on your definition of "essentials" Penners. I'm not sure my definition would always match Mrs F's, who I have to say is very blessed with patience!

Jolly well done, Zebra, not least for surviving without hot water & heating for so long.....we managed without both for six months in 2012 (whilst building the extension on our last house) and that was bad enough! You deserve to put your hooves up and enjoy the fruits of your not inconsiderable labours

(The kitchen is in the rebuilt flat-roofed front extension)
.....and the study.......

(The study was a very old but very derelict part of the house, which I obtained permission (from Planning and from this forum!) to demolish and rebuild. I put the original timber frame back on afterwards, which is now decorative rather than structural.)

Yes, that was the summer of 2012 I believe Feltwell, when I was just about at my worst. Where was I then - render off? Boarded up windows? Front demolished? No roof on side?
You might pop in again if you still come up this way occasionally.

It's essential to put furniture there, otherwise the electric socket won't be behind the sofa (which - despite the most meticulous planning - it must always be).

I am delightificated. You too saw it in its previous state Flyfisher, so thanks for your praise! The main part of the house and the study have the same flooring throughout. It was a gift, in the end, from SteveB on this forum, as he didn't want any money for it. Extremely time-consuming to lay, but worth it!
