Progress on internals. The bathroom (the downstairs window on the left hand side in exterior shots above) now split in half - into bathroom and utility room, all the walls boarded and awaiting the plasterer.

Meanwhile the kitchen is standing in as the temporary bathroom. Cement plaster is removed from interior walls (the last of the flamingo pink - hurrah!). The sticks in the window are holding up the woodwool boards around the reveal. And this is not a case of the worst planned first fix electrics ever seen - sockets above the bath. This is the kitchen sockets in and ready for plastering. Temporary shower has been removed for now, so back to the bucket and sponge for a couple of days!

Good to see you're still making progress Zebra, what a change to how the house used to be.

Loving the loo roll holder - very "Changing Rooms" :wink: Good quality as well - double thickness plasterboard on top of the bucket, none of your flimsy single thickness shortcuts. Proper Job!

Hello all,
I haven't posted much recently, I suppose because the things I have been working on are not of a "period" nature. However, although there is a little way to go yet, the house is getting quite close to being a finished project!
The bathroom is too small for photos to do it justice, but I attach the following nonetheless. After five years, the novelty of clean surfaces, hot water and a flushing loo has yet to wear off.
Also complete, more or less, is a tiny utility room with a wondrous washing machine and boiler!
I also have working sockets and lights actually in the wall, no more extension leads!!

Giraffe has to stoop unfortunately, to use the bathroom, but that's OK. Giraffes are very smelly and almost never wash.
