Also, for any ladies, high heels are, alas, unsuitable here. Mine are all packed away and I live in wellies!

Just to to repeat what I said earlier, if the weather is cold wet and windy it will be an indoor event. It's already getting a but puddly, and rain is forecast all week, so careful as you emerge from your cars and walk down the brick path which can be extremely slippery.

My Regency party dress, when it arrived, was decidedly frumpy. I've now slashed the neckline to the correct nipple skimming square (how remarkable they wEre able to reveal as much bosom as they liked, and even misted their bodices to make the muslin gowns see through, but the merest hint of ankle was beyond the pale), and I'm hunting down some Eygyptian, Etruscan, or Greek ornamentation which was apparently popular between 1804 and 1807. If anyone has any bright ideas how this may be achieved do let me know. I also hope that one of you can help me tie my head up in a turban on the day.
