Oh, OK - full answer is, it's Oldway Mansion in Paignton, built for the Singer family, and paid for by sewing machines. I hoped someone would guess at either the Deep South or somewhere near Paris.

Clues were turret, and the fact you mentioned my previous post!!

Al is now working on the cathedral in Lehtojarvi, I won't bore you with the pics as they aren't period property But it's interesting the tools they use, hot air paint strippers, steam irons, chainsaws and hand held engravers etc
