I read your earlier post and clearly you have little idea of the role of CO's in the overall scheme of heritage protection.
Some of what you said I thought simply bizarre.

Without our conservation attitude and money , where would these guys be. If we were to adopt a knock down and rebuilt strategy to buildings there would be no need for these people.'
They are indeed working on behalf of the people - for the greater good, not for individual owners.
I doubt that anyone would be adopting a 'knock down and rebuild' strategy.
