Without the worldwide open source developers community, an awful lot of the web wouldn't exist at all.

This is a completely free service, and we can all participate or not, just as we wish. Rob and Simon have every right to design it, organise it and run it any way they like. As Flyfisher has said, I think we all owe them a vote of thanks for a valuable and interesting resource.

Actually, I suspect that making the forum busy attracts users to other parts of the site.

Don't be naive.

But the forum is getting more and more boring by the week. A site design isn't going to make it more exciting. More pics ain't going to help either.

Doubt it. Most people don't have problems with eyesight and clearly think that it's OK.

Not sure that a vote would make any difference, and it won't solve many other of the problems with the site either.

I think the votes are already in.

1442 members (at time of writing):
"I dislike it" = 1 (0.07%)
"I like it" = a handful in this thread, say half a dozen (0.4%)
"Not bothered either way" = 1435 or so. (99.53%)

Where else can you find a 99.93% satisfaction level?

I had a nice suprise tonight, met Lyndsay Johnson, very nice girl.

For those who don't follow football, she plays for Everton and England, ladies of course.

She came to help coach the local children football, in a new venture of street games being organised in Stafford.

Flyfisher will probably know Jan Porter, Sandra Halkan Hunt (Scotthorne), Alan Scotthorne and Clare Dagnall, but does he know Sarah Wixey?
