There's not actually much which can be changed - it's the overall design which is messy, and although a few deckchairs can be re-arranged, basically it's not, in my opinion, very pleasing to read and to use. Some very irritating features.

The boxes in which the posts are made are larger, which is a help, but as far as I'm concerned that's about it.

I give a big thumbs-up to the changes. From an overall design and layout perspective I'm hard-pushed to notice any significant differences (which is good) but the easier method for posting pictures is surely a major advance (no more faffing around with external websites) as is the ability to increase/decrease font size to suit personal preferences.

It's claimed to also improve CRT displays, but I've not tried that.

I can endorse that. I've used Cleartype ever since I first got an LCD screen, and it does give a real improvement in the clarity of text.

I keep finding useful little new features on this forum! Here's another one that you may not have noticed.

When you look at the Board Index (ie: the main list of threads) if any thread has a new post that you haven't read, just beside its title it will have a tiny orange rectangle with an arrow coming out of the bottom right-hand corner.

If you just click on the thread title, you'll be taken to the beginning of the thread. But if you click on this little rectangle, you'll be taken directly to the new post that you haven't yet read.

Very handy - particularly for threads that extend several pages.
