Its grade 2* listed and has 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 4 reception rooms, kitchen, dining room, library and top floor self contained 2bed apartment... so bigger than average but not huge.The problem we have is it has needed pointing for a while, the previous owners had a penchent for using expandable foam rather than lime mortar!Gervase said:Blimey! :shock: How big is your house?

We also had fake wood grain at one point, but from the position and quality I suspect that it was applied more than a hundred years ago. I'd like to keep it on the stairs, if only I can find something that will take the gloss off the top without causing damage.JoceAndChris said:I think the farming folk of Lincolnshire thought decorating was a bit poncy, but, someone's had a good go at fake wood graining at some point.
