Ilona73 - you are a very useful presence- please will you now choose a giant rug for me that's either plain chalk pink or duck egg with an interesting, deep texture? 2.5 by about 3m would do it. Thanks. xx

Having tried most types of paste my preference is for the ready made stuff that comes in big tubs. It is gloopier than solvite so you run less risk of getting it on the face of the paper. Flour & water takes time and patience to get to the right consistency. I believe you can add Borax to flour and water paste to give it some resistance to infestation.
I'm not risking me Farrow and Ball to mites or mould! Thanks all, for the thoughts on wallpaper paste.
