Advice from NHS Cambridgeshire in our quarterly "Your Cambridgeshire" magazine:
"LOOK AFTER YOURSELF THIS WINTER...
Some useful tips include:
- Keep your home warm. Keep the main rooms you use during the day at a minimum of 21C (70F) and your bedroom at a minimum of 18C (65F) at night when you're asleep. You can also use a hot-water bottle or electric blanket (but not both at the same time) to keep warm while you're in bed."
21C ?
18 at night ?
Electric blanket on all night ?
All this in a day and age when we're being exhorted to turn everything down a degree to save energy.
Still, I thought it might help to impart the above wisdom to my fellow PPUKers. If your nipples are chafing and your windows are frozen on the inside, it's simply just because you haven't turned the heating up high enough!!
