I've got a goose-sh!t green tweed suit I've had for nearly a quarter of a century and it's still virtually bullet-proof. I remember walking through the South Bronx wearing it in the mid Eighties and getting incredulous stares from the crack dealers. It is a trifle hot in tropical regions, however - I remember nearly melting in Israel...

I'll have you know, madam, that I can still get into garments that I wore before my 21st birthday.

Which tells you two things: first that I was a puddin' in my teens, too, and second that I only renew my wardrobe every 50 years.
