Oven for Christmas! - which one?

Any suggestions or recommendations?

It needs to be built- in, electric, without a hob. I'd like it to be red, with 50s style curves, but they don't seem to have been invented yet.

Failing that, not stainless steel. No more than 600 mm wide.

Today's Rayburn disaster in front of guests is the last!

Being serious for a mo - aesthetics aside ( a pink oven?? :shock: ) the grill in those combined units are generally cr@p, and of course you can't use them at the same time as the oven.

Grill and oven no good together? Oh, hadn't really thought of that. That means you recommend a separate grill bit then I suppose.

Hmmmm, don't forget I'll still have the evil meal-ruining Rayburn. I can ruin the potatoes in there whilst I ruin the fish under the grill.

I don't mind that Northstar oven actually!

I used to go out to Italy fairly regularly to a white goods manufacturer. They showed me a prototype cooker for the American market one day -it was HUGE, and it had some novel features for lazy people.

It worked as a fridge during the day, the idea being that you leave a supermarket ready-meal in it. You could then call the cooker from your mobile when you leave work (I kid you not) and turn it on, so your meal would be ready for when you got home.

I'm certainly suggesting that whoever designed the legs had to fold the paper over and pass it on to the next guy when they threw a double six, and had no idea what was going on top of them, and vice versa...
Besides, cleaning under that is certain to be a complete b!tch
