No - our CO insisted on non hydraulic.......

That was our initial reaction as well......but we decided there must be a good reason.
Personally, I still can't see why it couldn't be built in cement & concrete....breathability is not an issue, the bricks are new...it's fundamentally a new wall, in very different surroundings to those that existed when the wall was first built
