I can't help but feel that Boris got in on a novelty vote, plus of course those that would vote for anyone except Ken. I guess the next election (next year I believe?) will tell.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to require the whole country to be daft or not. Indeed, it doesn't even require a majority. Anyway, whatever the result, the government always gets in. I'm beginning to warm to the Dutch system; they seem to be managing quite well without a central government.

I think I was on the old forum whenever that was - I think I just came across it when I was searching for general advice for my previous house (Victorian terrace) in Milton Keynes - I think I had some windows to paint and read all the stuff about linseed paint but I'm afraid then just bought Dulux probably! Then rejoined in 2006 cos we were looking to buy in Witney and knew we'd probably get a listed property. I gave up for a while after all the trouble with Nemesis - I never had any trouble with her - but then I came back after a few months and have never looked back and of course now I've met some of the forum's lovely people in the flesh!
