Ah, but that's where the SDS drill comes into its own; it looks scornfully down on lesser tools with jawed chucks.

Agreed, but an SDS is a big chunk of tool for we amateurs to drill our dinky little holes with.

Part of my Xmas pressies was a Bosch Professional SDS drill, superb piece of kit. No doubt I'll be able to remove much more plaster from the walls this coming year.

It didn't come with a chuck for normal drilling though, so it's either buy a new set of sds drill bits or a chuck for the drill. I've looked on Screwfix, but it's a little confusing. Are there any other good tool eshops? I assume a chuck which has an sds piece on the end is what I'm after????
