Thanks all. Every day is a fight to get back to some semblance of normality but I am getting there. This week I'll be ditching the anti-biotics, iron and lactulose having already come off pure morphine, binned Naproxen, Tramadol, pure codeine, Cocodamol 30/500, anti histamines and steroids to deal with the allergic reaction caused by the NSAIDs. I honestly think the drugs have been nearly as bad as the endometriosis but then again I know I'd be dead without them. I'd say to anyone dealing with chronic pain and disease, take the mildest pain relief you can as the big boys are not your friends and will give you a whole heap of other problems. But that's easier said than done.
At this stage it seems clear that the surgery has been a success and I'm out of pain.
But endo very often grows back within a couple of years so we'll just have to see. I'm going down the route of IVF and will just have to take each month as it comes.

I can cope with the spell checker... I can cope with bad spelling... But I really can't be doing with the iPad word-suggestion function that automatically puts its choice of word in when you press the space bar to move on! I would rather mis-spell things than have the meaning of my sentence changed completely!philpjuk100 said:

Yes, that's caught me out before now. With such features, what you gain in typing time, you lose in having to re-read everything to check that thoughts have been correctly converted into meaningful words.
A particular personal annoyance of the iPad is having the apostrophe as a 'shift' character, unlike a standard keyboard. The shortcut of an upstroke on the comma character doesn't seem to be very reliable and so I find I,ve often ended up with a comma instead of an apostrophe. :evil:

In fact, careful analysis of my posting history over the past year would probably conclude that my long rambling verbose posts were entered from my PC (as this one is in the process of doing so) whereas the two-liners (max) will have been sent from an iPad.
On the rare occasion of a one-sentence post, it could well have come from my smart phone, though I confess that 'smart' is really not the best adjective for the actual typing interface as it's only a minor step up from the diabolical texting interface on a standard mobile phone.
I rather suspect I'm not a great fan of multi-purpose computing devices as the inevitable compromises seem to make them sub-standard on all fronts.
(or it could just be an excuse to buy lots of different types of toy? :wink: )
