I know it's advertising, but I'm just going to mention On The Hill at Ruthin again (Wiggs must know it), as I'm quite hungry and it struck me as the perfect small-town restaurant, even though service was a little bit slow as the locals were popping in every few minutes to wish the owner/chef all the best on hearing of the new addition to his family (which is quite a recommendation as far as a friendly atmos goes). I can't understand why, if a teeny tiny place like Ruthin can manage it, every town in Britain can't have an equivalent nice little place to go for any occasion. And at ludicrously reasonable prices, too.
