It'll be very functional and warehousey, aesthetics won't really come into it. The room in question is very tucked away, in fact go up to the attic and most don't even realise that it's there, so it feels very separate from the main house. I may utilise the cellar as well - though like most it's damp, so have to be careful what goes down there. I saw my in-laws business take over their home, I'm determined for that not to happen here.I don’t know what you’re going to need to store, but for His Lordships study I used things from Shelfstore. Their online design tool was really good, lots of options in terms of sizes of uprights/ shelves and side panels. I looked at metal like Dexion? but it was all a bit “warehousey” for indoors.
