It was given to me during a business trip to India. I didn't fully realise the significance at the time but apparently Lord Ganesh is known as the 'remover of obstacles' as well as the patron God of travelling - so very apt in the circumstances.

A Dealer friend of mine has one GORGEOUS elephant in his shop, stands about 4ft tall and has a wonderful patina because everybody strokes the beautiful wooden back, most covetable, very expensive and must have been one of a pair standing on either side of a staircase.
