Falling hair, bad back, insomnia, unsteady hands (even without alcohol), expanding waistline, short sight, shrinking memory cells....

I had a phone call today to go on a corporate healthcare assessment session. I knew this was coming, and expected it would be half an hour or so - turns out it's a 3 hour long assessment ! :shock:
Exactly how long does it take to say "You're too fat and you're a bit old & knackered"?? :lol:

It's 2 hours 40 minutes sitting in the waiting room 10 mins in the consulting room and 10 mins doing paperwork :wink: Hope all goes well.
Don't dismiss it as three hours wasted.
My husband had one many years ago and discovered that he was in the early stages of 'late-onset diabetes'. Without it he'd have carried on in blissful ignorance until a really nasty symptom manifested itself.
Just be grateful and hang on to the fact that it's free.

Quite the contrary Moo, I'm looking forward to it - I was just a little shocked at 3 hours! Must be costing the firm a fair bit, I'm grateful for it. The shock was because I expected a 30 minute blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI and that was it.
They've told me to "bring my gym kit" (buy some gym kit more like!) as I'll have to go on a treadmill. A colleague has delighted in telling me that it's a mile running on a treadmill - I hope they've got an oxygen mask and a paramedic on standby then, if I suddenly stop posting you'll know why!

They want you to run for a mile? Sounds like a way to save on redundancy payments. I'd need to stop for a cigarette on the way.
