As for 'the wall' thread, I recall that was pford75's post about a listed wall partially destroyed by a fallen tree and the eventual total cost (including removing the tree, clearing the site and rebuilding the flint wall) was £105k. :shock:
They should have asked Eddie Grundy - he'd have turned the tree into firewood, sold it, and patched up the wall for a pint of Shires and a few hundred quid
