If you hang on long enough I'm sure one will come up in the correct period shade of "hearing aid beige", complete with a tin of boiled sweets in the drivers door pocket, a folded tartan rug on the parcel shelf and a trilby hat for the driver.

Lambo doors on an Allegro - that is truly inspired, my hat goes off to the man who thought of that one! So bad it's brilliant!

The doors on that one, when they (occasionally) actually work correctly are remote controlled and electric powered

A very good example of "just because you can doesn't mean you should" ( although granted much better than putting Allegro doors on a Lambo :lol: ) also proof that everything exists somewhere on the net :shock:

I don't really, but my uncle had one so seeing it meant my "twin" cousin (we were born a couple of hours apart) had come round to play.
We had a VW camper van through the 1970s (my carry cot wouldn't fit on the back seat of Dad's Beetle, neccessitating a change of vehicle a week after I arrived in the world), and I do miss that. Sitting up high meant you saw so much more on a car journey - who knows, a smaller cot and I might never have noticed all the interesting buildings we passed.

In a similar vein, I have a slight affection for the Morris Marina. Another awful 70's car from BL, but my Dad had to have one as a company car and 3 year-old me got to choose the colour - hence why he ended up driving around for a year in a bright orange Marina 8)

Another awful 70's car from BL...

...we had a decade or so of Maxis! Ground-breaking design - 5 doors, 5 gears, fold-flat load space, twin carb transverse 1750 engine, hydragas suspension - but woeful build quality!
