Burning Money

How do you know I haven’t bought the painting off a painter who is an irrational aesthete who burns the money in his barbecue with his mates as a "statement" (remember the K foundation/Justified Ancients of Mu Mu)?

Forgive me for pointing out that this is not what people do with their money. Even retards dont burn their money (even they can see what a dumb idea that is).

Rarely it is done, and why is not hard to guess... marketing. Its just a cost of marketing. It gets people's attention precisely because no-one ever does it, because its such a dumb thing to do. youngsters think its cool, and when they think someone's cool they buy their products. Oldsters are less gullible.

Imho, yes. Money can do some seriously good things in the world, both for others and for one's own life. Regrettably too many dont seem to have any notion of what it could constructively be used for, and get stuck in weeing it up the wall in various paper-deep and fundamentally pointlesss ways.
