How many people are living in their forever home?

I suspect for most of us - city or countryside - we're happiest living in one and visiting t'other.

I have the best of both here, I think. Fields and woods a two minute walk one way, and St Albans city centre a fifteen minute walk the other way.

Please be careful with the woods, all those trees give cover for the predators, at least make sure you take a giraffe with you to keep a look out

Since I've been a grown up I have never lived anywhere that wasn't a capital city, and the current one is the smallest at 4million.

Are you a grown up? Oh dear, I fear I've formed rather the wrong impression, LadyA. :wink:

Only in chronological age, not in the sense of actually behaving like a grown up

Very probably! I recall a city-dwelling friend who visited our previous village house and was very uncomfortable with the lack of street lights when we walked back from the pub one evening (though he did marvel at the number of visible stars!) and commented that he wouldn't want to break down 'in the middle of nowhere' at night. I replied that I'd feel much the same about breaking down in the middle of a city at night. :lol:

I wouldn't swap the smell of slurry for exhausts fumes especially when pig slurry is mixed in with the 'normal' stuff...my friendly neighbour is hard at it at the moment paying particular attention to the fields next to us! :lol:
