Heat gun advice?

BTW, for those who don't have me as their FB friend, I'm sure you'll be excited to know my first hatch is due to take place on Friday. I have 20 millefleur sablepoot eggs in the incubator in the top bedroom. Will post pics. The first 24 hours is terribly sweet apparently, they stand dazed in the incy after pecking their way out of those eggs, and concentrate on drying out and fluffing up. You don't need to feed them as the remainder of the yolk is in their tummies for 24 hours. Then they have to go in a brooder, which I still need to construct. It should be round, and steep sided to correspond with the heat lamp placed above -racking my brains as to what I can use. I think I'll need to physically make one out of card.

My earlier 4 have been reduced to 3, not sure why, all seemed healthy enough and Lady Anet died after about 4 weeks. Now we have another sitting, should hatch in about a week. Can't find you on FB. Mind you, don't really know who I'm looking for

Seeing as how we've got back to chickens, and just in case you don't already know, there's a nice young man on the telly who's doing a series about domestic/domesticated animals. Today's was about cows (aah), the next one will be about - Chickens !!

I can't remember if it's due to be transmitted next week or the week after.
This evening (with the most lovely cows) he was exploring their intelligence, different personalities, and social interaction. Not on one of those huge industrial-scale dairy farms, of course (not much opportunity for bovine individuality there) but on a smaller traditional one, run by a really sweet young woman who knew them all by name, had a private war with one of them, and wept when her uneconomic bull finally had to be carted off to the abbatoir.
If the chicken one is anything like it, I suggest that you dig out your instruction book and record it for future delight.
