Which is why I always suggest on this forum that the local authority is contacted before changes are made, and if the CO says things are OK without LBC THEN GET THAT IN WRITING!
It will save great deal of hassle possibly later on, when trying to sell and the potential purchaser's solicitor is asking for consents.
It may also save an enforcement notice.
