I just knew it was going to be bad and canceled everything, although in all honesty during the working day until 3pm here it was better than yesterday. Yesterday they did forecast almost 2" of rain during today though hence me hiding. I got my workmen all on the same job inside a temporary roof rebuilding an oak frame, flooring the attic and putting the softwood rafters on undercover.

I was hoping to exchange contracts on my period property today, but the solicitor wasn't ready .

And I got soaked, and all the dog towels are wet and dirty, so I'm having to use my towels on the hairy monster. After living in a van for over two years, I'm trying to save up my washing for when I move into the house, but may fail dismally :roll:.

What kind of van? I lived in a Renault Traffic for a while. I hope you get your house soon!!

Don't worry about the washing, just bin it and buy new.

Fiat Ducato panel van based one.

I'm trying to give up consumerism and save the planet. Binning and buying new isn't good for my image! There don't seem to be any blokes clothes shops around here anyway, and I don't fancy driving far in this lovely weather. I'll just have to wash less so doggy can use my towels, change my clothes less, and avoid meeting people :lol:
