Broadly, I agree with you, Ian. I think the only extra stipulation I would make would be that the unsorted redwood should be Swedish in origin. This would ensure that it:
* Is slow-grown in a cold climate (denser, more stable timber)
* Is grown under the world's most stringent forest management and sustainability regulations
* Has travelled as short a distance as possible to reach the UK.
