Good to see you back here again Middi. I've almost finished with your tile-cutter by the way.

That's very kind of you, but I'd feel even more guilty than I do for hanging on to it for so long. OK, just a few more weeks then, while I finish the shower. :wink:middi said:Not a problem Flyfisher, ( I 've found the other one which is much better)
Keep it . You will need it, I am sure
I manage a pretty good life without any of those things, but you're about right about things not changing till we run of oil. Of course we never will run out of oil, we'll just run out of the cheap and easy to get at oil that has powered the world economy. That's why things are going to change sooner than many expect.robgil said:delivering us our plastic cups , paper plates, disposable barbecues and luminous plastic jesus's.

i can offer food water and beer?
FamilyWiggs said:Well, not necessarily according to the New York Times this week:

It's a worry if you buy into the whole carbon thing though - add in growth in China, Brazil, India, etc and the centre of PPUK gravity will move from the lowlands in the east to the highlands in the West as sea levels rise!
Flyfisher said:Depending on your definition of abuse, it could probably be argued that all countries abuse animals to some extent.
Moo said:That centre of gravity theory just isn't terrifying enough to make us change our ways.
FamilyWiggs said:Living on a 45o slope I think flooding is probably physically impossible here...
Moo said:I must confess that I get a rather selfish glow of satisfaction when I make one of my rare trips to the doctor:
across the road, down a hill, across another road, down a steeper hill, across a road, down a steep flight of steps, across another road, and only then do I cross a bridge across the river. I reckon that a lot of Norwich would be under water before it began to lap at my front door.

Thanks for the offer Robgil.
Unfortunately I have reached that transient stage of life where I find great enjoyment watching other people work ( whilst I drink their beer  )
I can certainly do that in your case if I come your way during my, planned, extensive travels up and down the Country to admire the beatifully varied vernacular bulding scenery on offer. ( I have purchased a brand new caravan to do it in !!!!!).
I HATE bumming around airport lounges and custom protocolls they make you feel like a criminal.
