Ohh, I enjoy it really Phil, it is the kids that make Christmas.

"Decorations Day" always seems to be a flashpoint - all the excitement from previous weeks builds up to a point where the kids are fit to burst. However, now the tree is up and the kids have had the excitement of decorating it - and made an excellent job of it I must say - they are finally calming down.

They're always really well behaved on Christmas day itself. Apart from anything else, they'll be too busy baffling my mother-in-law with whatever new games they've got!

Fluffytail, sorry I haven't been on here since last week. If you go to a dog training class speak to the person running the class first. When I worked up in Yorkshire I took my daughters puppy with me so every Wednesday evening was dog training class, several dogs there had the same problem as you but we all knew that and excepted it, it wasn't a problem for any of us. The owners of nervous dogs didn't stand next to the aggressive dogs and it worked out fine. The only thing I would say is that the aggresive dog owners didn't stick at it, maybe 2 or 3 weeks and then we never saw them again so I presume the dogs are exactly the same or worse. Don't let your embarrassement ruin it, explain to people that he is a rescue dog, people do understand.
My rescue border collie attacked a blind persons white stick as we walked past him. I had only had him 2 weeks and it was the first time we had passed someone with a walking stick, luckily I had the dog on a lead, imagine trying to explain that he was a rescue dog and I was still learning everything that he was frightened of.

I really do not think that dog training classes are the best thing at this stage. This collie needs some careful one to one to start with.

Blue is the Warmest Colour, her latest film, is well worth seeing by the way, and not just (or even mainly) for the controversial bedroom scenes.

I saw this on Sunday, and have to agree, it's an amazing film, and the lead actress carries the whole thing with the most stunningly intense yet natural performance. I loved it. (Probably not for those who like action, plot and suspense though!)
