OOooo no no no, I've had 3 rescue collies - well, mostly collies with a bit of something else - and they've all been as soft as soft can be.
This ferocious mutt, collie cross alsation, used to spend most of his time asleep on his back with his legs stuck straight up in the air. He was chasing a rabbit once, it stopped and turned and he ran back to me to hide behind my legs, I kid you not :roll: In his last 6 months my daughter was born, and all he wanted to do was sleep next to wherever she was.

In fact, on our post-Christmas list is a new mutt for the Feltwell family - now that the youngest Feltwell is 4, it's time for a dog. First I've got to make the garden escape proof for a dog - yet another job to add to the list..... :roll:
