His Lordship has commented on occasion that Lulu and some other ladies look very good for their age, and always says "are you sure" when I mention that a little bit of nipping and tucking has gone on :lol: Boys wouldn't expect a Tudor manor house to be in pristine condition today without a goodly dose of maintainence, keeping us ladies similarly sparkly also involves a lot of effort.

I'm not sure! Being allowed to accumulate soot and horrid residues for years, then blocked up with some ugly appliance and having to undergo painful stripping procedures, no fun at all. I would much rather be a piece of door furniture, watching the world go by, caressed by loving hands and occasionally polished to a gleaming finish. Every girl should have a shiny knocker.

Accurate summary of the last ten years, thank you (now waiting for my Girl Surgery date which I'm hoping very hard will be before Christmas as I've been rendered even more solely ornamental - ie useless- than ever!

Oh to be a man, no need to worry about colour schemes and curtains, getting the crockery right, whether the lampshades work etc etc. Just to be made happy by a new tool, oh, it looks so carefree!

It's not easy you know. Take manflu - it can strike us down at any moment. Then there's all the other hard jobs we have to do - getting things down from high shelves, opening tough jars, remembering that cars require maintenance occasionally, the list just goes on. Learning how to fall asleep in a chair after Sunday lunch takes practice & dedication you know, about 40 years in my case. A complete inability to remember dates is a lifelong handicap for instance.

Then there's all those dreadful gender stereotypes to live up to. I haven't got a clue what the offside rule is, but society expects me to know it.

Be careful what you wish for, being a man is not an easy role :wink:

What about the BBC's attempt to block FOI requests for attendees at it's "Seminar on climate change policy attended by the leading lights in the scientific community"? When the list of attendees was uncovered via the Wayback machine, they included Head of Comedy, The Church of England, Greenpeace, Tearfund, Stop Climate Chaos (and a host of other eco pressure groups) and precious few scientists. It even included a member of the US embassy?

The BBC is endemically corrupt, political and no longer delivers on it's public service remit. They either need to be returned to the original remit or have the licence fee abolished.
