Mrs P had knitted Eggwood a wee cardy in anticipation. But this will now be chucked away, and we're giving him one of mine.

Congratulations to all your family Penners! So glad your daughter and Edward are fit and well and looking forward to playing Pooh Sticks with you somewhere in Suffolk/Norfolk. My Father used to sit on the beach at Mundesley with my Son, teaching him how to spit cherry stones into the sea :shock: at Southwold they played ducks and drakes and on a disused airfield in the depths of Mid Norfolk Guy was taught to drive a car at the age of 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That should keep you going with ideas!!

Now, that's my idea of the perfect grandfather-to-grandson tutorial. Completely useless, very likely to get the lad into trouble, but a skill that will be the envy of his peers and gain him enormous kudos in the school playground.
