The child clearly wants to be born under a Conservative government, so won't be along for another 12 hours or so!

I'm voting Dawn for a girl (as in "new Dawn"), and Cameron for a boy (or for a girl, come to think of it!)

We could be waiting a long time......................

Well, daughter was due to have an induction at 5.00pm on Friday, and at 3.00pm, the hospital called to say "don't come - we're full".

However, they promised to admit her at 8.00pm yesterday, which they did, just as she was starting labour. In fact, as she had already felt that she was in labour several days ago, we're calling this New Labour.

We count the hours...

FINALLY - young master Edward (known to his brothers as Eggwood) was born at 7.46pm, weighing a mere 10lb 5oz. :shock:

Eggie bruised but unbowed. Mum absolutely exhausted after 24 hours labour and a very tough birth. But all fine.

Thanks so much to everyone for your kind interest. We're all very touched that I have such kind friends, many of whom I've never met.
