wooden floors scratches and scuffs

Thanks so much to all those that replied to my query re scratches and scuffs on my stained wooden floors. Recently I used a product called Safe Cut (Like T-Cut - for cars) on the scratches, let it dry for a minute or so, then rubbed smooth with a cloth before rubbing a mixture of 50/50 linseed oil/white spirit into it and the surrounding area. This last process I repeated several times and Hey Presto - no more scratches! Not had chance to try on all the scuffs yet though but that's probably just as well as my hamster, Pixie Little, decided to go on the runaround last night! She casually came walking into my kitchen this morning whilst I was washing the breakfast pots, looking at me for assistance! Couldn't have lived with myself if I had found the said Miss Little rooted to my sticky bits!!! Needless to say, cage now firmly secure, daughter flea in ear!!!
