I've retained the name but mostly use the number.

If it's sawn (rough) timber, you'll be fine. It should last 7 to 10 years before you need to re-coat. If it's planed timber (smooth), you should be using Bedec MSP.

Yes, it is. Rough sawn feather edge, sawn to order from unsorted. I'm painting each piece, four coats, before it's put up and affixing it with silicon bronze ship nails, in the hope that I'll ever have to touch it again.
I had intended to do everything with linseed over the summer, but the summer came and went. So as you say, I'm now using MSP on the planed work that I'd primed with linseed, starting with two coats of Bedec stain block.
The Barn Black, and MSP, go on vey easily. A far cry from that awful crap I used last year, Jotun Demidekk. I just hope it lasts as long as they say, if so I shall be in your debt as without your suggestions I would never have heard of Bedec.

If it doesn't, I live in Yorkshire. Or Cumbria. Yes, that's it. I live in Cumbria. Lovely place, Cumbria. I wouldn't live anywhere else. :lol:
