Morning
Please can someone advise me on the following? We have a Victorian semi (built around 1900) which is attached to an 18th century cottage at the rear. The cottage is Grade II listed, meaning the Victorian part also falls within the curtilage.
At present, the Victorian part has horrible UPVC windows and front door. We are submitting an application for LBC to do other work, and want to include changing the door and windows back to sashes. My question is, how many panes? Our previous house (built around 1910) had 1-over-1 sashes. Would these be best? Our CO has suggested 12 pane, but I think it may look a bit "much" as it's only a 2-bed Victorian semi. The house over the road has 12 panes, but it's much older and is huge.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
