I'll try to find bronze then Mr Hughes. I'm sure you're right, you know I'm always fighting my inner Arabian love of all things glittering and golden. It's my grandma's fault- more another time.
Totally separate subject, except that it relates to the improvement of Beacon Cottage, but I've just found an inscription to accompany the poem to Cloacina that we've discussed here before -
Iti Sapis Potanda Bigo Ne
And for the garden benches:
Ventosa viri, restabit
and
Ore stabit fortis arare placet ore stat

Gosh how sophisticated, a fingerprint scanner carefully disguised in an old fashioned button that says "press", I am very very impressed.
FamilyWiggs said:Indeed - just a shame that "Press" is not properly centred in the middle of the button.
I've always admired your ability to see sophisticated humour in any situation, FW.FamilyWiggs said:Yes FW, I wouldn't worry. Pretty soon the finger traffic will rub off the central letters - the e and the arm of the r - leaving a very different instruction!
You haven't been using the public footpaths around our village, have you? One of the signs has been carefully altered, using some white paint and a black felt-tip pen*. It now reads "Pub ic Poo path".
