Hi I'm looking for some advice for a Victorian basement floor. I am looking to use my basement for a more functional purpose ie exercise bike and storage space. The floor finish I have is breaking up and producing significant amounts of dust. It appears to be made up of a loose concrete finish with bits of pottery and various bits of debris within the floor makeup. I am not sure if it is a traditional lime floor or was installed by a previous owner. The prope3rty was built in early 1900 and the basment was partly a coal store. There is some evidence of water rising up enter the basement as some areas have dark shadowing damp. Do not want to tank the entire basement but was looking to apply a material to the surface that would bind the existing basement material together and prevent further dust generation but also allow the floor to breathe are you able to provide any advice. I have attached pictures of the basement. Thanks
