The top coat?, it bloody better not as I live in Matlock and it likes a good frost. Although I know a number of people that have used it round here and its never been an issue.Ps. I should add that I live at sea level in Devon. No frosts. If it gets frosted, no good!
I think Cassie means the remaining plaster in the tub will be ruined if it freezes. Not that it can't be used in an area prone to frost. The top coat?, it bloody better not as I live in Matlock and it likes a good frost. Lime Green 'Ultra' (insulating plaster) is also good for dubbing out as its extremely light and you can apply it thick. The Lime centre in Winchester make their own cheaper version called Limco I think.Regarding the question of whether the top coat can be used to fill gaps, with something (hair? sharp sand?) added to it, I think the verdict was no, it won't go on more than a few mm thick...... No harm in trying I guess.... But instead, something that might be good for the levelling out is lime hemp plaster. Easy to use and can go on thicker than most other types of lime plaster, if you've got any voids to fill.
