I'm trying to replace some rotten timber on the barge boards of our gables. There is an L shaped section at the top edge of the barge board about 2.5" vertical x 1.5" horizontal, if it was inside it would be called scotia.
Another wider piece of timber sits horizontally on the top of this and the barge board (not in the photo below).
All the scotia in the timber yards I've visited is much smaller, and I'm wondering if I'm asking for the right thing? Any ideas where to find this would be most welcome.

(Yes you're correct, that is a horrible piece of upvc in the background. It got blown off in the storms and is going back on until we re-roof.)
