Washing machine shakes whole kitchen

Not sure about the law here, but if it's a rental property and this was installed and came with the property then surely the landlord should fix it?

Odd leaving a washing machine when you sell a house, maybe they did because it was broken and they were buying a enw one?

My mother had a top loading machine many years ago, when on "spin" it used to go walk-about.

On day she found it had tumbled ouside the kitchen door step in the garden.

Lol, I've seen some dancers but nothing that bad before.

Well, it's funny you should say that, because our vacuum cleaner falls over a lot. I wonder....

Penners, my vacuum cleaner fell over, struck me on my ear and drew blood!!!

we have a washing machine installed in our upstairs bathroom, both are new and it vibrates too much so I'll move it. Our problem and yours (I suspect) is that the floor is "springy" and is being excited by the W/M. Temporarily try the W/M in a different place, a corner would be the best place. Some times on a W/M there is a rapid change in speed/direction, I have seen washing machines actually jump at this moment. Try not putting so much stuff in it and see if anything changes. If there is nothing wrong with the machine, try getting a carpet square, putting a paving slab on it and then standing the machine on it. The added mass should reduce the vibrations by the ratio of their masses.

yes i suspect very much that machine is installed in wrong place. it must be in the middle of two joists (i think)..
