inspired by the recent slate removal question, and a ££ quote to replace a long lead valley..assuming I can remove the slates either side of the valley by walking up it, removing slates as I go, how would I go about putting the slates back on the new lead?
I would obviously start at the bottom, so should I just make the gap wide enough that I can walk up the valley (it is currently only wide enough for one and a bit of my shoe-clad feet), or am I missing a trick?
Roof ladders hanging off (one, or both of) the ridges will not be running parallel to the valley, so I'm a bit stumped how to do it any other way. I asked a pro and he had a ladder based scaffold system, which I do not.
