Treated Dry Rot is growing again

Is the actual production of bleach commercially, an environmentally friendly practice? There are a series of petrochemical plants and other industrial complexes about 20 miles from here - one of which apparently produces chlorine (according to our friend who is an authority on chlorine!). They don't look particularly green... and I imagine the chemistry is pretty strong. I'm sure they use mercury, arsenic or small venuzuelan boys in the recipe somewhere.

If you are really intent on murder just use some bleach - it will kill any fungus just as effectively but will leave less of a nasty taste on the planet. (And it's much cheaper.)

Ohh, that's easy, door-to-door salesmen for gas and electricity. We're plagued with them, they're a damn nuisance. Removing them from the planet would do us all a favour (well, perhaps that's stretching it a bit - me at least).

People have always complained about Jehovah's Witnesses as well - we get lots of them calling (as their hall is just down the road) but they are always polite and respectful, take a polite "we're not interested" with good grace, I don't mind them at all. At least they have belief in what they are saying!

You're on dangerous ground there Penners, politics and all. Whilst I'm no fan of Mr Mandelson, there are other politicians who I would definitely put up against the wall first. Tell you what, I'll let you have Peter Mandelson if I can line up Jeffrey Archer next to him. He scores pretty highly on my list, not quite at the top though!

But with the Crankies, I feel you are on safe ground - as they are pretty much universally irritating.

I'm no fan of Archole or Mandy; one is merely a convicted liar whereas the other is far, far more dangerous in terms of the (unelected) power he seems to be able to exert over members of the Government. In fact, given the number of unelected people in positions of power these days I sometimes wonder if we still qualify as a democracy.
