Blaming the tools was going to be my next strategy. The router has been great. There were some parts of the moulding it couldn't reach that I can finish with sandpaper, but it did enough.
The table saw is a nightmare because the bed isn't flat. I ended up with different height cuts along the length of the wood. It's only 1, maybe 2mm, but that results in a lot of finishing when you want to get everything inch perfect. It's a cheapo from Screwfix. Can anyone recommend a decent table saw with a flat bed before I do the big bay window?
Fitting the frame is turning out to be time consuming. The bay is curved and I'm planning to use flat glass which results in 7 degree angles everywhere you don't expect them. The horrid bit of straight glass at the end is a modern replacement for a curved crittall opener. Such a pity as I can restore those.
