Suggestions for improvements?

Biff, I never navigate with the 'back' button (because this new site is so much quicker than the old one). I use the "jump to" one, at the bottom of the thread.

That will be why then. This is of more use oif there are different topic headings to look at, but with one it really isn't ideal to use.

I find using the back button ok and is faster still if you use the backspace key on the keyboard. It does mean the post you have jus tread is still marked as unread, but I know that it isn't!!!
You could either click on refresh or press F5 and this will refresh the page and show which posts you have now read.

Or you use the PPUK forum index link and then click on posts since last visit, which will also show up the posts you have now read or not.

I've found the automatic log-on to be erratic recently, despite the check box being ticked and no changes to the computer set-up. Sometimes I am straight in sometimes I need to log-on again. The only thing I can think of is if it is to do with the frequency of logging on. It may be that the times when there is a longer gap between visiting the site results in a failure to recognise me when I come back - we are only talking a couple of days at most and normally because I have been using another computer and appearing as a "guest".
