Having just completed our fourth fixer-upper in succession, I have made the sainted Mrs P a solemn promise that our next abode will be 100% finished, draught-free, heated, electrocuted and painted to the last detail. No droplet of distemper, nor goujon of green oak shall be permitted to sully its hallowed perfection.

And what with me dodgy back, me creaky knees and me cricked neck, I'm not really in a position to argue.

He (or at least his charitable trusts) is developing in other places, although not in the same style as far as I am aware - including one in Wales, and another to help with the rescue of Dumfries House and the regeneration of that area.

Not sure that's Penners' sort of thing though - surely he wants a piece of real history?
