Hi
Trying to fit a cupboard similar to the one shown in my drawing in the alcove adjacent to our dining room chimney breast.
I've found an intact one for sale which (annoyingly) is approx 2-3" wider than the alcove!
Even with the plaster taken back it'll still be slightly too wide, so I wanted to have a specialist joiner/cabinet maker take a look at it to assess:
a) whether it can have it's size reduced without destroying it's stability
b) how much it's going to cost to do the work
c) how much it will cost to build one from scratch
Obviously, we'd rather a reclaimed original there if possible.
We're based just north of Manchester, so any recommendations greatly appreciated.....
Thanks
